The ABGB is located just of the terribly busy corner of S Lamar and Oltorf. As soon as you cross the train tracks, if you’re coming from Lamar, you’ll hang a right into a good sized parking lot. The area is walkable and close to a plethora of eating, drinking and shopping options: Noah Marion Quality Goods, Loro, Black Sheep Lodge and Cindie’s if you’re looking to make more kids.
The ABGB REVIEW
The ABGB makes some of the best, maybe the best depending on your fire water proclivities, beer in Austin. And, according to the fine folks at the Great American Beer Festival, it’s actually the best brewpub in the nation! It’s won the Best Large Brewpub/Brewmasters award 3 years (yes 3 years!) in a row which is unheard of.
